BETH SHALOM

Beth Shalom (Hebrew for “Abode of Peace”) provides a caring home for many senior citizens of the Jewish community in KwaZulu-Natal. Since its establishment in 1970, its warm staff and convivial atmosphere have created an environment which promotes a feeling of well-being and optimism.

In addition to providing top quality health services, Beth Shalom caters for all aspects of the lives of its residents, including entertainment as well as social and spiritual needs.

Not only is Beth Shalom a vital system of support for the elderly and their families, it also forms an integral part of the Durban Jewish community. Beth Shalom is closely affiliated to the CKNJ and works together with the Council in a system of mutual support and respect.
